Lets go kill some birds. I'm psyched!

Well, Dylan now thinks he is quite the bird dog! He is particularly fond of ducks. We went to do some hunting with Earl and some of the "good ole boys". Dylan totally nailed every single mark and didn't need any help finding the retrieves... he was so good.

The only problem was that he was a bit excited and if we were really hunting, he would have scared everything away. Dylan had a minor issue controlling his enthusiasm... the barking, squealing, crying and flopping around was actually kinda funny... for about 2 minutes. So, that is what we're going to be working on next.... containing our energy :)

Assuming we don't get asked to leave next Sunday at the Working Certificate hunt test, D should do just fine....

eyes are good!

I took Dylan to an ophthalmologist last night just to make sure I can rule out any eye problems... she said he looked great! I took him to Dr. Debra Agapito at Eye Care for Animals and she was wonderful with him. So, that's a major relief that he doesn't have any vision problems... good just to rule that out. I would have felt like a horrible mother if he did have problems and I was still doing so much agility with him! Luckily, that isn't the case.... he is in tip top shape :)

Father's Day weekend

Dylan had a very nice Father's Day in New Buffalo, MI. He was playing on the beach almost the entire day! He was a very good boy with both Holden and Sawyer.

8 new pups

Neat had a total of 8 puppies last night... 6 boys and 2 girls. Looks like I will get a boy :)
I have a couple favorites already... can't wait to watch them grow!

Woohoo!!! The 1st 2 pups are here :)
1 boy (black/white) and 1 girl (tri) -- both are 10 oz. and very healthy.... I hope the rest are the exact same... maybe a few more boys than girls :)

Eagerly Awaiting

I am eagerly awaiting to hear that Rumor is born. Neat should be in labor right about now... but I can't wait to hear once it's all over... the number of pups, males/females, etc... it's so exciting!



I'm not really sure how Dylan is going to take the whole "new puppy" thing. I think D is very used to being the center of attention at all times and the only child in our little family.
